Mission Encounters
 |
State wide mission encounters are held several times a year through
the Together for Hope Rural Poverty Initiative. These include a
Spring Football Clinic, Summer Back to School Backpack and
Supplies drive known as Bags of Hope, and a Christmas collection
for toys for children of prisoners and senior citizen needs.
In keeping with our long term commitment to the rural poverty initiative, increasingly we are looking for ways to partner with church groups and individuals from around the state with local churches and groups to develop long term partnerships.
There are needs in the area of housing rehabs, literacy, and other needs. Summer provides great opportunities for these events and relationships to develop. Contact our missionary Stephanie Vance to plan a mission encounter.
11 on 11 is a Fall event for young adults to do hands on ministry activities whether in the Together for Hope parishes or in your home churches and communities. Generally scheduled on the Saturday closest to September 11, the day serves as a sign of God’s redemptive work from even the darkest of situations.
The Fellowship seeks to bless, encourage and equip your church in its ongoing missional work. |
